Life, peace, hope

Hello dear you! Today´s post is going to be in English only to gain some time since I´m running out of time to do all the things I have to do today...sorry for my Spanish speaker friends, but if any of you is interested, just let me know and I´ll put a Spanish version at a later date.

Ok, so here´s the page I did yesterday:

I didn´t think of taking pics of the process this time to make a step by step, but here´s an explanation of how I made it, hoping that it can be of any interest for you.

First phase:  I "gessoed" the page. Then cut into strips a self adhesive sticker and glued it to the page (top left and down right corners). Once dried, I stamped a French script stamp over the page then went over it all with a light green paint, with a dry brush. I added some yellow touches here and there too. With a dark green crayon, I highlighted the edges of the strips of the sticker.

Second phase: I cut the shape of a bird in a bookpage. Then on my journal page, I drew the outlines of a gothic window. I put gel medium within the limits of that drawing and stuck a book page, burning it with my finger and waiting a little bit (sometimes, less than a minute is enough) before taking the page off slowly to make sure that the transfer had worked. If it´s not satisfactory, put the page back and burn it a little more. Once it´s all dry, I completed the drawing and glued the bird shape.

Third and last phase: I added green and yellow paints in the window, some white touches to highlight some parts, graphite pencil and grey Faber-Castell pitt artist pen around the window to make it pop out a little. Then I dried brush some raw sienna and white paint here and there on the page. Added some raw sienna with a bit of water to paint the contour of the bird, put some white in the middle of it then stamped a few words around the page with Stazon ink. To finish, I put some black crayons at the bottom of the bird to create some shadow and brown and black crayons around the page, smudging each colour with a finger, and Voilà!

If any of these phases is not clear enough, just let me know and I´ll try to be clearer. Here are more pics of that page:
